The card encoder from the DOC-806 series is characterised by a particularly compact, robust, and low-wear design.
This device is preferred for banking systems (day safes), the issuing of value cards (e.g. phone cards), and in the gaming industry.
The high reliability has made the DOC-806 one of the most popular devices on the market.

Issuers of prepaid cards demand systems that meet their increased security requirements.
It should be possible to remove cards from the direct access without them being manually taken from the magazines.
Transmac offers a range of encoding and issuing systems that meet these industrial security requirements.
The CIM 5000 and BAT 9000 systems (both presented in the blog post of 5 August 2014) have been successfully implemented in the market. We now present the new units of the KSC-5600, CSC-2800, and KSC-2100 series.

In all of these units, no cards can be taken from the closed magazines. An internal storage device reports the number of cards in the magazine. The magazine itself is locked in the system, thereby preventing the unauthorised removal of the entire magazine. A loss of prepaidcards during transport or maintenance can thus be prevented.

Combined cards, which feature a bar code in addition to magnetic strips, chips, or RF chips, are mainly used in the area of corporate and student ID cards as well as inventory management systems.
The BIS-1000 encoding system can read all major bar codes and can read and encode magnetic cards, chip cards, and RF cards.

The new KYT-7300 series of card readers

The KYT-7300 series of card readers – one of our most successful devices for use in kiosks, gaming and access controls – has been re-designed.
The series can read ISO magnetic cards and read and encode processor cards (T = 0 T = 1), memory cards (e.g. SLE5542) as well as RF cards in accordance with ISO14443A (Mifare®). Each of these functions is available individually or in any combination.

The KYT-7300 operates with a supply voltage between 9 and 12 V and offers a variety of options:
– card lock (solenoid)
– manual card release button
– shutter
– 1 or 2 SAM card reader
– TTL, RS232 or USB interface
– metal or plastic die
– Customised designs are possible

The CDC-1000 card dispenser and collector with integrated RF reader and writer is now also available with a magazine size of 100 cards.

The CDC-1000 has been successfully implemented in applications requiring a card dispenser that returns cards to the card magazine for re-use or that screens and retains cards under the unit (card capture function).

The CDC-1000 can optionally be delivered with an RF card reader and encoder that can process the ISO14443 (Mifare®) and ISO15693 standards.

Many users of the CDC-1000 card dispenser and collector have requested this device with a larger card magazine. KYTronics Europe has responded to these requests and now offers this device with a magazine for 100 cards (100 cards at 0.76 mm, adjustable).

Among other things, the CDC-1000 is used in payment terminals for phone cards in hospitals, canteen cards and temporary access systems.
The solid and durable structure of this device allows for long-term and trouble-free use in both consumer and industrial applications.

TTL, RS232, or RS424 are available as an interface. The supply voltage is 24 V and the baud rate is between 9600 and 57600 bps.

AS-1 Anti-skimming modules for manual card reader

Skimming is a technique by which criminals collect data from a card using skimming modules, such as pre-fixed reading modules and cameras, in order to use this data for their own criminal purposes.
In the banking sector, anti-skimming modules, which detect the manipulation of a device and cancel the reading process, have been implemented for some time.

In 2013, 25 353 attacks were reported worldwide. These caused damages in excess of € 248 million.

Access controls to sensitive areas and residential facilities are increasingly becoming targets of skimmers.

Up until now, mainly only banking terminals and SSV have been protected for cost reasons. With the AS1, Transmac now offers an inexpensive anti-skimming module that can be used in manual reading systems and which also provides security against skimmer attacks for access control systems.

The AS1 anti-skimming module is resistant to:
•    light
•    humidity and extreme temperatures
•    electrostatic interactions
•    darkness
The AS1 anti-skimming module cannot be detected by the naked eye.
